That's a Wrap! ...A Boba Wrap That Is!

I have become increasingly obsessed with baby-wearing so when Boba generously offered to let me review one of their wraps I was overjoyed. I will admit, my first thought when I opened the package was something along the lines of “Oh my gosh, what did I get myself into?” There was a bunch of fabric and I just looked at it like “This carries my baby how?”. I didn’t realize how super easy the whole wrapping process was! Plus, it’s like riding a bike; once you do it once, it gets so much easier every time after that and if you ever need help there’s all sorts of resources online right on the Boba website. I will admit I still have a few difficulties and didn’t realize in these pictures that I should have spread the fabric out more over my shoulders but now that we’re home we’ve been babywearing around the house so I can get some things done and it’s making more and more sense every time I put the wrap on.

Recently we were on a trip to Toronto and visited Casa Loma so my awesome pictures are from this gorgeous castle! We were lucky because we walked there and thought the place was stroller friendly. …it was not. So, we busted the wrap out and Munchkin loved it! I think it made her feel a lot more in the action. She was up and involved with us at our level and could observe and interact with things better than if she was stuck in her stroller.

I still (out of force of habit) hold her close when our picture is taken but I really need to realize I don’t need to when she’s wrapped. The fabric is just breathable enough but still feels snug and comfortable. It has a stretch to it so you have to get used to not leaving much slack for baby. It’s taken me a few tries and will probably take me a few more to get it just right. It’ll stretch right over baby from newborn to 18 months. I also love how it’s a one size fits all carrier! The fabric length and stretch means that just about anyone can use it. ...even while breastfeeding! It hides everything perfectly and can be very discreet.

The Boba wrap comes in a huge variety of colors and are only $38 on the Boba website!

Glow Bug Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway

Hubby and I have gone back and forth on the whole cloth diapering debate for months. Even before Munch a bunch was born we were unsure what we were going to do. I wanted to try it and he did not. Disposables are so much more convenient and etc. but now they have so many new types of cloth diapers that are so easy to use! So I’ve decided I’m going to try it out.

Glow bug is a company that was founded by two moms looking for affordable, stylish, and durable cloth diapers to diaper their children in. Therefore, Glow Bug Cloth Diapers came to be! I’ve always loved the reasoning behind their name. “Glow bug” is a nickname for one of their kids and they thought cloth diapers make them look like little bugs! Adorable. I can totally see a little glow bug when I look at a cloth diaper fluff butt!

Onto the diaper! I am in love. Pocket diapers with a front and back opening are totally the way to go. They are super easy to stuff and come complete with a snap in the front to snap the liner in. You don’t even need to unstuff them when you toss them in the laundry! Just unsnap the snap and let the washer agitate it out. No more touching yucky insides!

The inside of the glow bug is some of the softest material I’ve ever felt (Slimdry Fabric) and it’s really absorbent. We didn’t have any leaks here! The double gusset (now 360 degree gussets!) and hip snap features also really help to contain any leaks that could have happened. There’s also a waterproof PUL flap in the front so glow bug really focused on key features to keep everything contained.

There’s a 4 step rise setting and cross over snaps to help it fit the smallest newborn up to the potty training toddler. I also found the snaps really easy for me to snap and unsnap and they were a lot more secure than some other brands I’ve tried in the past. All in all I’m a very satisfied user!

The one downside about purchasing Glow bugs is that they are not sold individually but that's what keeps them so cost friendly. They come in a 12 pack packed inside a free wetbag.

SHOP: Shop at glow bugs and get 12 diapers for $150 or 6 for $75. Be sure to mention Onna Wanna Deal sent you! Just in time for the new design & prints!

Also be sure to join the Glow Bug mailing list for your chance to win a diaper each week! Connect with them on Twitter and Facebook as well!

WIN: Enter to win one glow bug diaper in your choice of girl, boy, or neutral in the rafflecopter form below.

Happy Friends and Family!

Being a mom, it has become increasingly important to get out and do things from time to time either with baby or without. Happy Monday is all about happy friends. Last week we went out with some (family) friends and headed out to a farm. We walked around and looked at the baby animals and had a blast!

Spring is the best time to go to a farm. …I mean just look how stinking cute this little lamb is! Adorable and I totally want one. Oh, and nursing piglets! Hey, they can do it in public we should be able to too! Hehehe. Look how cute the mom is cuddling up with the two in her arms.

Little one may have slept the entire time but at least we got out and got some fresh air. I’ve noticed cabin fever can really stink after just having a baby. Sometimes you get so caught up with your new life that you forget there's still a great big world out there going about their day to day. 3 months later and I’m forcing myself to get out and be active.

What kinds of things do you enjoy doing to get out of the house with a new baby? (Especially when the weather is nice?) - I need some more ideas!!

Take a walk on the wild side!

Wordless Wednesday is all about Disney Parks Wild Side. Although normally I would think of Animal Kingdom, I went with something I think is super Wild. The stunt show! It seriously blows my mind!

A day in the life...

Toddle Along Tuesday today is all about a day in the life. Not going to lie…right now…our life is pretty dang lazy. Little one wakes around 4 or 5 AM, eats, and goes right back to sleep.

Around 7 or 8 AM she wakes and wants a diaper change and a little play time before conking out again till 9 or 10. She eats, plays and naps for most of the day. So sad…we have no lives :] I basically just try to follow her ques for now. She's pretty good most of the time trying to get across what she wants.

Anyway, when daddy gets home sometimes I go to work but normally not during the week and now that it’s getting nicer out we’ve been going on walks!

By 9 she’s been getting pretty dang fussy so we start her bedtime routine around then adjusting time a little if she’s super tired or awake. She’s generally asleep by 10 or 10:30 and then I have some me time for a while before heading to bed myself.

Honestly though…with a 3 month old, we have absolutely no schedule set what so ever. Normal? When did you start having your little one on a schedule?
