Lately our daughter has been very head-strong and doesn’t understand why she isn’t right or has to sit in time out or etc. Recently we recieved this wonderful book called Being a Captain is Hard Work. This is a super cute read. The illustrations are great and I love the moral of the story in this book. Captian No Beard must learn the hard lesson that sometimes you are not always right. Sometimes you need to admit when you are wrong and trust in others. Most kids need to learn this important lesson. My daughter included.
It also includes a wonderful cloud key at the end of the book to help understand different types of clouds and the weather that is usually accompanied by them. A little longer than most children's books I’ve seen but definitely engaging to keep my daughter entertained. Another thing that I really enjoy is that it promotes imagination and creativity by showing that these were just regular kids exploring within their own bedroom. In all, my daughter loves it and it is one that we continue to reach for over and over. I received this book for free or at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
