Blog Party!

Ultimate Blog Party 2012

Okay, I’m taking a relatively (big to me) step and joining up with the Ultimate Blog Party at 5 Minutes for Mom. I’m hoping it will be a fun time! I’m a relatively new blogger still trying to find my blogging voice! Some of my current favorite things to write about are recipes, photography, crafts, coupons, Disney, & Pinterest finds! I am hoping to expand eventually to family life when we expand our family! For now our family consists of myself, my husband, our two cats, & puppy! Seriously...who can say no to this little Disney Princess? I know I can't! ...Super spoiled.

Sunday Scavenger Hunt!

This week I'm taking part in a (new-to-me) link up and it's a photo scavenger hunt with Ramblings & Photos! I'm really trying to start using manual more so these are a little bland but I'm trying to learn. This weeks items were: New, Life, Frangrant, Pink, & Obvious so here's my take on them:

1) New - My new kindle fire. I'm absolutely obsessed with it!

2) Life - My beautiful Tulips coming to life! I can't wait for them to bloom!

3) Fragrant - I love this scent from Bath & Body Works.

4) Pink - The pink is a little hidden but these are flowers my hubby got me for my bday

5) Obvious - I wasn't quite sure how to capture this one so here is my pup obviously waiting for daddy to get home!

Taco Cornbread Casserole!

Can I just rave for a second about how absolutely amazing this was? It was so good and I love how customizable it is. Veges, no veges, meat, no meat, sour cream, no sour cream. Perfect for us! I found this recipe at Debby Does Dinner...

Ingredients:
1 package (8 1/2 oz) corn bread/muffin mix
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
3 cups cooked taco seasoned meat
1 can black beans
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream, light
1 cup colby jack, cheddar or mexican cheese, shredded and divided
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped (I didn't use)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 can sliced olives (I didn't use)

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the corn bread, egg and milk until blended.  Spread into an 8 x 8 pan sprayed with cooking spray.  Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.  Combine taco meat and beans, spread over corn bread.  Combine sour cream, 3/4 cup cheese and onion.  Spread over meat mixture.  Bake for 20 - 25 minutes longer or until heated through and cheese is melted.  Sprinkle with tomato, lettuce and remaining 1/4 cup of cheese.

Do you like my hat??

Hello! Today is finally my day off and I'm loving it! I'm trying to get caught up and play with my camera! This week's theme is Hats! I realized that I didn't have any photos of us in silly hats! (note to self: take some at Disneyland in a few weeks!) Instead I found one of Donald sporting a super cute pirate hat during a stage show!

Now let's see you in your favorite Disney silly hat!
