In like a Lion...

This weeks Wordless Wednesday is your March calendar shot! I just love this Snow White fountain at Disneyland. March reminds me of the very beginning of Spring and for some reason the greenery here, the water, even Snow White reminds me of spring. Maybe it’s the bunnies?!?

If You're Happy And You Know It...

Hello old blog! It’s been a while! But we have very exciting news around here...and a very good reason I’ve been M.I.A.!! As you all know we were expecting and were team green. Well, on January 22, 2013 God graced us with a little girl! She must have been very eager to come out because I was only 37 weeks and 3 days and they clocked my whole labor including pushing at 5 hours and 40 minutes. The 40 minutes was the pushing (blargh!).

Anyway, today I am linking up with Crazy Casa K to introduce someone that makes me happy. Our little girl. It is amazing how much your heart fills with love when you finally meet your child. Every time I look at her it’s like my heart melts. I never knew my heart could know such a love. It’s such a different love than any I’ve ever had. Our little family is perfect so far (…until we add the next little one!).

 I’ll be working on a birth story soon and tomorrow I should have her first month post up! Crazy that she’s six weeks old tomorrow already! I’ve been working on a whole slew of new posts and trying to get them scheduled so be on the look out!

What's your favorite way to get from Point A to Point B?

This weeks Wordless Wednesday is all about transportation! I feel like transportation is all over Disney and they do it so very well. Not only from getting you from Point A to Point B (railroad, magic express, monorail, etc.) but also transport you to a time, a place, a scene.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Muddy Buddy Cookies!

Bad Onna, I've been MIA once again. The holidays were very hectic for my family and myself but here I am! So for Christmas Eve this year I tried out a new cookie recipe and I absolutely loved it! It was taken from the Betty Crocker Website. 

Ingredients:
- 1 pouch of Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie Mix
- 3 tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Steps:
1) Heat oven to 375F
2) Stir together cookie mix, oil, water, & egg
3) Shape dough into 1-inch balls and bake 8-9 minutes
4) Let cookies cool completely
5) Microwave chocolate, butter, & peanut butter for about 1 minute or until smooth when stirred
6) Stir vanilla into chocolate mixture
7) Place 12 cookies in large bowl, pour 1/3 chocolate mixture over top & toss to coat
8) Take cookies and place in either bowl or bag with powdered sugar to coat
9) Enjoy!

Christmas Traditions!

I absolutely love the holidays. I love the family, the warm generous feeling in your heart, the music, the food, the decorating, the traditions, and so much more!

A big Christmas tradition in my family is our countdown calendar. We would always try to be the first to move the little mouse the next day closer to Christmas. Silly but so important to us!

One of my favorite things is the Christmas tree. I like having a real tree with colorful lights (some NEED to be blinking!) and lots of random meaningful ornaments. Ornaments are very important in my family. Each year my mother gets us a couple to represent ourselves and the year we have had. I can’t wait to pass this on to our children. There are also a few ornaments that have traditions within themselves! My mom has one of a turtle sleeping in its shell and it has a little tag that says do not open till Christmas. On Christmas day you better believe we hunt that thing down on the tree just to open it!

After getting married we have started quite a few new traditions and I can’t wait to share them with our kids. Although I would love to go to Christmas eve mass, we always go to my husband’s grandma’s house and celebrate. It is a lot of fun. Afterwards, we get hot chocolate and drive around aimlessly counting how many houses with lights we see and of course we need to listen to Christmas music!

• Advent Calendar & Wreath
• The Giving Tree or Toys for Tots
• Baking cookies for Santa!
• Breakfast on Christmas Day
• Pistachios in your stocking toe
• Spending Christmas Eve with family
• Wrapping Paper Wars!
• Elf on the shelf
